About
A different way to think about work, success and life.
Careering 9 is built on a simple belief: our careers should enrich our lives, not dictate them.
Through writing, conversation and practical tools, Careering 9 challenges conventional thinking about ambition and what a good career looks like, making room for more deliberate choices about how we work and live.
My story
A career built on curiosity, ambition and a few unexpected turns.
More than two decades across business, technology and leadership have provided plenty of opportunities to learn, grow, take risks and occasionally get things spectacularly wrong.
From startups to corporate leadership and boardrooms, the journey has been anything but linear. Each experience has brought new perspectives, unexpected challenges and lessons that rarely come from following a conventional career path.
Many of the most valuable lessons have come from the people along the way. Generous mentors, inspiring colleagues and candid conversations have all shaped the thinking behind Careering 9, along with the belief that a successful career is one shaped by your own choices and built around the life you want to live.

Why I wrote Careering
The advice I wish I'd had earlier
Over the years, I've had countless conversations about careers. With colleagues, friends, people I've mentored and those who've mentored me. Different people, different circumstances, but often the same questions. Am I doing the right thing? What does success actually look like? And what if I want something different?
Careering 9 brings together the lessons I've learned through my own career, the wisdom generously shared with me, and the experiences of people who've challenged how I think about work.
I didn't write it to tell anyone what their career should look like. I wrote it to share nine practical lenses that help people understand themselves, think differently about work and make more deliberate choices about what comes next.
Values & approach
Values and Approach.
The Whole Person Matters
A career is only one part of life. Success means finding a way for work, ambition and everything else that matters to coexist.
Your Career, Your Choices
No prescribed path or universal definition of success. Just practical tools and perspectives to help make more informed, deliberate decisions.
Curiosity over Convention
Challenge assumptions, question the rules and stay open to possibilities. There's rarely only one way to build a successful career.
Experience, evidence and honesty
Real stories, research and lessons learned along the way. Including the mistakes, uncomfortable truths and things that don't always go to plan.
Let's stay in conversation.
For speaking, workshops, interviews, or a thoughtful hello.
